BIOGRAPHY

Originally a biophysician and nuclear physicist, Maurice Tubiana became head the department of radiotherapy of the Institut Gustave Roussy at Villejuif (France) and later Director General of this Institute. He created there one of the best world’s team of radiation oncologists, physicists and biologists who contributed to progress in France and outside. A remarkable leader, he was a lifetime respected consultant of French politicians and international organizations (i.e. French governments, European commission, WHO, IAEA) who benefited of his wisdom and keen analysis of a variety of healthcare issues.
