BIOGRAPHY

Maria Teresa Voso is Professor of Haematology at Tor Vergata University, where she leads the Oncohematology Research and Diagnostic Laboratory. During her prolific career, which began at the Catholic University of Rome, she developed great expertise in the field of MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) and AML. Professor Voso has built upon and continued the scientific legacy of Professor Francesco Lo-Coco and she has significantly advanced the knowledge of APL through translational studies. She has served as President of the Italian Society of Experimental Haematology (SIES) from 2020 to 2022, contributed to seminal clinical studies, including the APOLLO trial, and has led international collaborations such as the HARMONY (Healthcare Alliance for Resourceful Medicine Offensive against Neoplasms in Haematology) APL Project.
