BIOGRAPHY

Elisabeth De Vries, medical oncologist, is professor at the University Medical Centre Groningen, in the Netherlands with a wide experience in teaching and research activity, especially in the field of molecular imaging, breast cancer and neuroendocrine tumours. Beyond this, she has worked on developing the ESMO-Magnitude Clinical Benefit Scale (MCBS) since its very first steps in 2013. ESMO-MCSB is the tool designed to score the clinical benefit of cancer drugs and help everyone to make sense of the complex and dynamic world of anticancer drugs. In 2016 De Vries was charged as Chair of the ESMO-MCBS Working Group and later of the ESMO Cancer Medicines Committee. Currently, she is also member of ESMO Council.
