BIOGRAPHY

Domenico D’Ugo is a surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic abdominal surgery. In oncology, he specializes in the treatment of abdominal and digestive tract tumors (especially colorectal, gastric, and esophagocardial tumours). Director of the General Surgery Unit at the Gemelli Hospital and professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, D’Ugo participated in the creation of the Global Forum of Cancer Surgeons and served as president of the President of the Italian Society of Surgical Oncology (Sico), and of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO). A highly experienced surgeon, he has co-organized several training courses, including the ESSO Hands-on Course on Minimally Invasive Gastrectomy and Esophagectomy.
