BIOGRAPHY
Solange Peters, MD, PhD, is Professor and Chair of Medical Oncology and Head of the Thoracic Malignancies Programme at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland. Trained in medical oncology and molecular biology in Switzerland and Italy, she specialises in thoracic tumours, with research focused on biomarker discovery, multimodality strategies for non-small cell lung cancer, and innovative immunotherapy approaches. She leads translational collaborations, serves as principal investigator on multiple clinical trials, and holds leadership roles in international oncology organisations, including the European Thoracic Oncology Platform, the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster, and the Swiss National Cancer League. A highly prolific author with over 500 publications, Prof. Peters has served in senior editorial positions for leading oncology journals and was the youngest President of the European Society for Medical Oncology (2020–2022), where she founded the Women for Oncology Committee.
