BIOGRAPHY

Gunnar Fagerberg, MD, Director of the Department of Mammography at the Linköping University Hospital, was the leader of the Östergötland (E) arm of the Two-County Swedish randomized controlled trial. The two leaders, Fagerberg and Tabár, cooperated closely in the execution of the trial and in the publications of the results. The frequent joint meetings of the personnel running the two arms of the trial enabled standardized quality assurance for the trial.
