European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO)
OVERVIEW
The European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) is a non-profit scientific organisation dedicated to advancing radiation oncology within multidisciplinary cancer treatment.
Founded in 1981, ESTRO works to ensure that all cancer patients have access to high-value radiation therapy. Its vision for 2030, “Radiation Oncology. Optimal Health for All, Together,” reflects a commitment to strengthening radiation oncology as a key partner in multidisciplinary cancer care.
With a global community of 10,000 members across 114 countries, ESTRO drives innovation and translates scientific advances into clinical practice. It supports continuous professional development, fosters knowledge exchange, promotes education and practice standards, and facilitates research in radiotherapy and related fields.
Ultimately, all these efforts are directed towards improving outcomes and quality of life for patients.
